A Disturbing Trip

Seven doors at the end of the hall
Down the stairs and along the wall

Each door opens on a different scene
The sixth on the shore of a quiet stream
A willow sways as the wind does blow
Step through the door and into a dream you'll go

So many doors I cant decide
A leap of faith throws me out of my mind
A change I need and a change I'll find
Through the next door I look for peace of mind

The second door opens on a sunny beach
Where the waves do call and the seagulls preach
Wade through the waves and dance on the sand
Step through the door and your fealing grand

So many doors I cant decide
A leap of faith throws me out of my mind
A change I need and a change I'll find
Through the next door I'll jump in blind

I step through the fifth into the devilish cold
A barren waste called the, north pole
Nothing but Ice as far as I see
The silence weights heavy on me
Back to the sun I long to go
But the way back home I do not know

So many doors I cant decide
A leap of faith throws me out of my mind
A change I need and a change I'll find
Through the next door I look for peace of mind

I step through the first door along the hall
And look to find that I've lost it all
My life, my dreams, my home, my mind
A fresh new start I countinue on blind

So many doors I cant decide
A leap of faith throws me out of my mind
A change I need and a change I'll find
Through the next door I'll jump in blind

A fall through the seventh on my hands and knees
I prey to the heavens but only the devil hears me
He laughs and he crys at what was my life
He feels no pity as he hands me the knife

So many doors I cant decide
A leap of faith throws me out of my mind
A change I need and a change I'll find
Through the next door I look for peace of mind

Only two more doors, what should I pick
The third or the fourth the thought makes me sick
Through one of those doors my fate is sealed
Through the other door another dream revealed

I throw open the door to the third
Then stand there staring at the whole of the world
So many people just like me,
Alone and scared of each new day
Afraid of their feelings, afraid of thier thoughts
Weighting the truth of all that they're taught

I open the fourth and step on in
Walk to the kitchen and pour me some Gin
I walk to the bedroom and sit on the bed
Look down the hall and shake my head,
Seven doors at the end of the hall
Down the stairs and along the wall
I sip my Gin and think to myself
Someday I'll have to take that trip again..
